Introducing Daniel Dorsey, A Budding Musician Making A Positive Impact
In this highlight we turn our attention to Daniel Dorsey a musician, family man, adventurist, devout Christian and all around stand up guy. I’ve witnessed firsthand the impression Daniel can leave on those he comes into contact with and it’s always been something I’ve respected and been inspired by.
Daniel nowadays is immersing himself in discovery of music, exploration, religion and life. A true musical scientist, Daniel plays around with his sounds with inspirations by Midnight City and Jai Paul, Daniels projects always seem to come across in a very unique, eclectic, edgy and fresh way! I asked Daniel a series of questions, here is what we discussed:
Tell us a little about yourself, where your from, grew up, what H.S./College you attended, etc.
I’m from Seattle, Washington originally. I moved to New York 4 years ago. I now live in Ridgewood Queens New York. I went to bothell high school and graduated from Bellevue college.
What inspired you to be an artist? Early experiences worth sharing?
I used to dance. I have always loved music and rhythm. But when I was 20 years old I saw a chiropractor and they made adjustments on my back which caused more harm and eventually I couldn’t dance anymore like I used to. I needed an outlet. Music was the next best thing for me.
What do you believe sets you apart from other artists?
I have my own brain, God given.
Do you have other interests or hobbies?
Many. Cooking, painting, learning languages and of course traveling.
Any projects you have out or currently working on?
I have a short ep. out now called Thinking too Much. I also have some singles on the way and another collaboration project in the works.
Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years?
Owning multiple business, indispensable income, and marrying the woman of my dreams.
What advice can you give to aspiring artists/entertainers?
I believe everyone is incredibly unique, so be yourself, surround yourself with positive people, throw negativity out the window, and allow yourself time to grow. Oh and keep your room clean.
