Introducing Trent Monroe; An Incredible Artist And Passionate Risk Taker
In this highlight we turn our attention to Trent Monroe. I asked Trent a series of questions, here is what we discussed;
Tell us a little about yourself, where your from, grew up, what H.S./College you attended etc.
My name is Trent Monroe. I’m 29 years old born in Ithaca N.Y., but was raised most of my life in Rochester N.Y., where i attended School of the Arts for high school as a vocal major student. I picked up barbering as a trade soon after high school . It was great journey, and now I pursue Music as as singer/songwriter full time.
What inspired you to be an artist? Early experiences worth sharing?
I’ve always took an interest music even from an early age. Growing up I’d listen to my parents sing and hear artists like Tevin Campbell, Sade , Avant and Joe that really motivated and inspired me. Plus, being named after an artist didn’t make it any better lol.
Talk about a time where you have faced adversity/conflict and have triumphed.
Mann to me, the life journey itself is adversity. Its always changing for the good and the bad, The very fact that i wake up and still do what I love despite how hard or unrewarding its been shows my triumph. But i do feel for myself that my battle is to keep working on my self confidence.
What do you believe sets you apart from other people in the world of entertainment?
I truly feel that my personality is my most valuable card. Music is all relative to how you feel and the people listening feel that. “Greatness” comes is all the small things that an artist does outside of his/her talent to keep you wanting more of them, I feel I possess these qualities.
Do you have other interests or hobbies?
Yes absolutely! Boxing, Nature, Cars, Architecture and Science have always captivated me. I try to keep my brain stimulated in this busy world.
Any projects you have out or currently working on?
I recently released a single called “It Be Like That” and currently I am working on my personal project as an artist.
Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years?
I definitely see myself in a very influential position as an artist/singer/songwriter in the music industry. I have other interests as well like film. I’m hoping to dabble in quite a bit of different platforms.
What advice can you give to aspiring entertainers?
Id say it’s very very hard yes. It will for sure test you in every way, but the most important thing is believing in yourself and having patience. (It’s Not if, just when…)
